Donald C. Zimmerman, of Ridley Township, born in Holmesburg PA died August 4 at home at the age of 95.
He was a resident of Secane for 64 years. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1942. He served primarily stateside in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was an electrical draftsman/designer at RCA Camden for 38 years. He was a ham radio operator, a pilot, traveled extensively and had been active in Woodlyn Troop 43 BSA.
He was the son of the late Eric F. Zimmerman and Miriam Winther Zimmerman. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Elizabeth J. Zimmerman Nee Cadge. Survived by sons Donald R. Zimmerman of Wagontown, PA, James E. Zimmerman of East Liverpool, OH and Edward A. Zimmerman of Folsom, PA, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private interment arrangements by Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service L.T.D. 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA. A Private Life Celebration will be scheduled later for family and friends.
